“Colleen” by her colleague Jane
The Attacat international smorgasbord gains a star-spangled addition with the arrival of Colleen, who has swum all the way across the pond from Buffalo, New York, to join the team as a PPC account executive. Arriving in bonny Scotland in 2008 to indulge her love of Highland coos and real ale, our PPC pro-in-training also managed to squeeze in a quick MSc in Science in Technology Studies, in which she researched “processes of transferring technological and social systems between the industrialized and developing worlds; studying the different trajectories for implementation and uptake of mobiles phones and computer / internet systems.”
As if that particular mouthful wasn’t impressive enough, Colleen also has a background working in communications and marketing for companies large (and American) and small (and Scottish), and has even toured Kiril’s frosty homeland of Russia to pick up her TEFL certificate and teach English for 9 months. With the siren call of Edinburgh’s never-ending tramworks luring her back to Scottish shores, she wowed our very hard-to-please Directors with her intuitive knack for PPC and is now learning the ways of search engine marketing under the wing of soaring PPC eagles Steve and Jon.
When she’s not snaffling up PPC info and supporting our client accounts like a champ, the strings on Colleen’s extracurricular bow feature roller derby, gaming, B-movies and a light spot of heavy metal. And maybe even getting in a trip or two to Scandinavia with her new husband when she can… maybe she’ll bring our next Attacat back from there!
