It’s nearly July already and time for the next round in the New Media Breakfast series. Next month’s sessions in Edinburgh & Glasgow will see Attacat’s Joel Lumsden speak about Facebook advertising.

Facebook has over 400 million users worldwide, with most people using it on a personal basis to keep in touch with friends and family and so forth. However, as a business there stands a great opportunity to target these users through the social network’s advertising model.

Designed on a pay-per-click (PPC) or cost-per-thousand-impression (CPM) basis, it is similar to the other top dogs in the game such as Google AdWords or Microsoft AdCenter.

With it’s granular targeting options and it’s flexibility in budgets and run-time, Facebook advertising is neither something to be scared of or sniffed at.

To book online (tickets are £15) or find out what Joel will be covering in the sessions, please visit fatBuzz. Oh yeah, and in case you didn’t know – the New Media Brekkie guys, Podcastmatters, have rebranded and are now known as fatBuzz so the July events are highly anticipated – make sure you book early!
