Online Advertising: An overview presentation for East Lothian Coffee Morning
Coffee mornings don’t always mean jam and Jerusalem. Indeed to those in the Lothians and interested in technology, the phrase “Coffee Morning” means good coffee and geek chat. There are now three coffee mornings in the Lothians. The Edinburgh one is the longest established and is one I try not to miss.
West Lothian and East Lothian also run one but meet monthly rather than weekly. I am told that each have their own very different culture.
I took my first trip to East Lothian Coffee Morning last Friday where I was kindly invited to present on the topic of PPC. I only realised at the last minute that my talk had been flyered as being on “online advertising” so I quickly had to change the focus and this made for a slightly hap hazard presentation. The slides inevitably don’t tell the full story as I tend to talk around slides rather than have slides that work on there own, however I promised I’d post them so here they are.
Facebook Sponsored Stories
Some great questions also meant that I didn’t get through the full presentation. One topic I wanted to cover was Facebook’s new Sponsored Stories which is a new and frankly highly innovative form of advertising that divides opinion.
