I’m going to be speaking bright and early on Friday morning in Glasgow as part of the highly successful New Media Breakfast series run by Gordon White and his team at Podcastmatters.
I’ll be discussing both PPC and SEO with a focus on Google. It seems strange to think that a marketing medium (search) that is still growing at a staggering pace (46% last year according to ComScore) can feel a little old hat with all the noise about Social Media.
It very definitely is not old hat though and the pace of innovation within Search is not letting up. So whilst I wouldn’t say no if you are in a position to lend me some, it’s shouldn’t be a topic that needs dancing girls to set it alight.
You can book and find out more about the Glasgow session here.
I’ll be repeating the session in Edinburgh on Thursday the 15th April in association with Winning Entrepreneurs. You can book for Edinburgh here.
There’s still a chance to influence the agenda so if there is anything specifc you want including, let me know. Here’s some questions that Gordon White asked that I’ll be looking to address:
- What do search optmisation companies actually do?
- Why do I have to keep optimising my site?
- Can anyone guarantee a No.1 listing?
- How do I decide what to spend on search optimisation?
- Can I do it myself or should I use an agency?
