Yesterday the entire team headed out for a trip to Dublin to meet up with our support team at Google.

We took the opportunity to look over some of our clients’ accounts with them and then had a couple of sessions on our favorite topics of the moment: mobile advertising and Google Local.

It was of course a great opportunity to have a good gawp at all the toys that AdWords advertisers’ fund: everything from table football to massage chairs (as tried and tested by our very own super model, Dougie).

They also have a very slick new gym that has just gone in (although everybody we spoke to hadn’t even seen it yet, never mind used it!). Seriously though it is a great office.

The whole office has a distinctly university campus feel (albeit a well funded one). The average age profile seems to be about 25 and the canteen had a feel of a communal intra-lecture meeting place. The concept of Nooglers (new employees) almost has fraternity house characteristics.

It is unsurprising thought that it has recently won an award for being in the top 50 places to work in Ireland.

After lunch we felt it important to broaden our advertising education by heading over to the Guinness Store House. Naturally our focus was on the advertising history exhibition, rather than the roof top bar.
