I’m definitely not the first to write about the impact of using video on your landing page, and I won’t be the last. According to the New York Times, Google are to begin testing video adverts on the search results page. At the landing page seminar hosted last year I was asked if I thought Google would start to show video-type adverts. My response was a “no”!
Danny Sullivan has noted some comments from Google’s Marrisa Mayer alluding to the possibility of including display-type advertising on Google’s results page. This coincides with my own recent speculation on the inclusion of video and image ads in Google’s sponsored results.
